Anneleen Cosemans holds an MA in Romance Languages (KU Leuven) and an MSc in Italian Linguistics and Literature (Università degli Studi di Urbino). In 2008, she began working as a multimedia innovation coach for the Media and Learning Unit. Her role involved advising and assisting colleagues and teachers (as well as external partners) on their choice and application of appropriate multimedia and audiovisual technologies for education and research. Since September 2009, she has led an expertise cell within the unit specialising in educational technology and lifelong learning. She is also actively involved in the development of new services, such as a streaming video portal, web lectures, live streaming, and web conferencing for the university and its association. On a more conceptual level, she is responsible for coordinating the design of a coherent strategy for educational technology at KU Leuven. To gain expertise in both subjects (educational technology and lifelong learning – or their combination), the Media and Learning Unit also takes part in a series of (international) research projects.
