Remco van Schadewijk is a producer and counsellor multimedia at the Leuven Institute for Media and Learning (LIMEL) of the KU Leuven. Graduated cum laude from Leiden University in 2014 with a Master of Life Science & Technology. Produced the educational short film on astronomy 'The Dreamgazer', using child participation and collaborative writing, for his master specialisation in Science Communication & Society. Co-founded cooperation de Namen, a collective of creative professionals. Finished his PhD on plants using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in 2020, at the Solid-State NMR group of the Leiden Institute of Chemistry. Produced the educational fiction film 'On Being a Scientist', which is part of a MOOC on scientific integrity.
Driven by curiosity and a love for science, he is motivated to help people understand the world around us through storytelling. He enjoys innovative concept development and producing educational film and video. His interests lie in combining film production with scientific research.
