Dr Laura Sloyan

Dr. Laura Sloyan is a post-primary teacher of English and IT at St. Aidan's Community School in Dublin, with over 20 years experience in education. She is currently seconded to Oide, Ireland’s national support service for teachers and school leaders, funded by the Department of Education. In addition, Laura is a part-time lecturer in Dublin City University.
Laura’s PhD research focused on developing online resources to help post-primary English teachers integrate digital skills into their curricula. Her research interests include young people’s digital competencies, educational equality, and teachers’ professional learning. She has led multiple Erasmus+ projects at her school, including 'Blooming Digital!', a collaboration with Dr. Yvonne Crotty and DCU’s International Centre for Innovation and Workplace Learning and schools in Turkey, Romania and Portugal.
