Dr Neil McDonnell
Neil McDonnell, The Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Fellow for Virtual and Augmented Reality at the University of Glasgow.
Following a career in the 3D Visualisation industry with The Soluis Group, and after co-founding the software arm of the company, Neil returned to academia to pursue his PhD in Philosophy. He has held academic posts in Glasgow, Sydney, and Hamburg, and has published widely on topics in philosophy, the use of immersive tech, and the intersection between the two. Neil is the internal University lead on Project Mobius – an Innovate UK funded project aiming to transform education using VR technology, and the project behind the edify teaching platform (insert https://www.edify.ac/)
