I'm currently the assistant discipline lead for Mental Health Nursing at The University of Derby and a registered mental health nurse. I worked in clinical practice for ten years in a variety of settings including acute inpatient, community, crisis services, hospital liaison services, and finally as a ward manager for an older adult acute ward, before moving into academia. My areas of interest include narrative experience in mental health services, ethics and clinical decision making, and autistic spectrum disorder and mental health.
