Luis Villarejo

Co-founder and CEO at Immersium Studio, where Immersive Technologies are used to increase education's efficiency, retention and motivation in corporations, educational and cultural institutions. Recently awarded with the Immersive Learning Research Network 2019 best demo award for the "3D 360 Interactive Learning Experience on Communication and Feedback". Immersium Studio is creating Learning Experiences for institutions like United Nations among others.

Prior to Immersium Studio, Luis was at the Office of Learning Technologies inside the Open University of Catalonia for 15 years. Primarily being manager of UOC's mobility area, focused on designing and implementing UOC's mobility strategy including Augmented and Virtual Reality learning initiatives. Luis is a member of the New Perspectives on Tourism research group at UOC.

Previously Luis led Natural Language Processing projects as a researcher at the TALP Center (Barcelona) and at Uni Digital (Bergen). He has also served as Google Summer of Code program mentor as well as a member of a number of scientific committees for international conferences in Education.
