Sanja Zanki Pejić was born in 1987 in Karlovac. She graduated from the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb, majoring in primary school teaching and English langugae.

Sanja has more than 10 years of experience in festival, event management and marketing, but also in various branches of the film industry, especially working with young filmmakers. With the experience of working on the most important Croatian film festivals (Zagreb Film Festival, Animafest Zagreb, ZagrebDox, Motovun Film Festival ...), since 2017 she has been working in the Croatian Film Association as head of festival and educational programs.

She is one of the initiators of the Four River Film Festival (the international high school film festival in Karlovac) and is the current director of the same. As a member of the Karlovac Cinema Club, she is an active participant in Karlovac's cultural policy.
