Joan Sheehan
I have 40 years of experience working in AV at educational establishments, with the majority of those years being in Higher Education. I started in technical support roles looking after classroom technologies. I then moved onto roles within audio and video production, mainly recording and editing language audio courses and recording student assessments on video before then managing a large Media Services department of 20 AV technicians, looking after all aspects of technical support and developing an events support service. I now work as an Audio Visual Development Specialist at Leeds Beckett University, designing and overseeing installation of technology in the learning spaces.
I have a BA in Conferencing and Exhibition Management and hold the Avixa CTS qualification.
I have joined the Media & Learning Advisory Committee as the representative of SCHOMS, being a member of their Executive Committee.
