Eirik Wattengård

Eirik Wattengård is a video producer and multimedia technologist (Higher Executive Officer) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Video Production from Canada and has worked with film and TV in Canada and Norway for the past two decades. His professional experience includes a variety of tasks, from sound recording, videography and editing, through studio and production management, to scriptwriting, producing and directing.
Through his work with learning videos at NTNU – especially in the research project Video for Quality and Flexibility in Education (VfK), which produced specifically designed learning videos and investigated what made them good learning objects – Eirik has built a solid understanding for how video and media can aid learning in the most efficient way. Through this work he and Dr. Jonas Persson have developed a set of Production Principles for Learning Videos.
Today, Eirik produces high-quality thematically defined learning videos in cooperation with NTNU lecturers and scientists for use in the university’s courses and programmes.
