Eirik Wattengård is a Video Producer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has a Master in Film and Video Production from Canada, and his professional experience includes a variety of tasks, from sound recording, cinematography and editing to production management, scriptwriting and directing.

Today, Eirik produces thematically defined learning videos in cooperation with NTNU’s academic staff for use in the university’s courses and programmes. After having collaborated in the project Video for Quality, which produced high-quality learning videos and investigated what made them good learning objects, he and Dr. Jonas Persson have developed a set of Production Principles for Learning Videos.

Eirik will present these production principles at the 2022 M&L Conference, and they will soon be released as a practical handbook for video producers and practitioners in academic institutions around the world.
