Dr. Claire McGuinness is an Assistant Professor at UCD’s School of Information and Communication Studies. Her research interests span meta-literacies, learning, and professional information work, focusing on the critical role that libraries play in educational, community, and everyday life settings. She has published widely in these areas, including three books and multiple journal articles. She teaches on UCD’s MLIS, BSc Social Sciences and BA degrees, and received a Teaching Excellence Award in 2017.
