Jelle Zuidema is associate professor in Natural Language Processing, Explainable AI and Cognitive Modelling at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam. He does research on these topics and directs the Cognition, Language and Computation lab. He has a long-term interest in computational modelling of language processing and in the biological basis of language. He teaches in the interdisciplinary master’s programmes Artificial Intelligence and Brain & Cognitive Sciences, and coordinates the Cognitive Science track in the MBCS.
