Lizzy Bleumers is a psychologist by training and a passionate researcher specializing in participatory and human-centered design. With a focus on technology use in media, entertainment, and education, Lizzy values stakeholder involvement to create better applications and guide meaningful technology implementation in these domains. She built up years of user research experience in projects geared towards R&D (at imec-SMIT-VUB) and technology transfer (at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences). At Thomas More, Lizzy coordinates the "Emerging Media Experiences" research strand at the Centre for Sustainable Business and Digital Innovation. Together with her colleagues she is currently involved in projects like Empowered by AI and MediaGenie looking into the creative, responsible and sustainable use of Generative AI in various domains, including education.
