Sophie Renaudineau

Dr. Renaudineau is an experienced neuroscientist and educator with a passion for engaging and innovative teaching methods. Dr. Renaudineau integrates active learning techniques into her classroom and is passionate about promoting creativity and inclusivity in both face-to-face and online environments. Her commitment to student engagement earned her a nomination for the Student Choice Awards for “Inspiring and Innovative Teaching Delivery” in 2021 at UCL and, more recently, for “Outstanding Academic Member of Staff” in 2024 at London Metropolitan University.
She earned her PhD in neurosciences from the University of Provence, Marseille, and has over 15 years of experience in memory research, focusing on the neural networks underlying spatial behaviours and the role of sleep in memory consolidation. Throughout her academic career, she has taught at renowned institutions such as the University of Provence (Marseille, France), UCL, Queen Mary University, Middlesex, BPP and currently at London Metropolitan University (London, England), bringing a wealth of international experience to her teaching.
