Dr. Agne LIMANTE is a Legal Officer at the European AI Office, DG CNECT, the European Commission. She works in the AI Regulation and Compliance Unit and mostly focuses on prohibited AI practices and classification of high-risk AI systems. Agne holds PhD in law from Vilnius University (Lithuania) and MA in law from King’s College London (UK) as well as Vilnius University. Before joining the European civil service, she gained professional experience in research, international consulting, and academia. She continues her research as a Chief Researcher at the Law Institute of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences.
