Veronika Pelle

Veronika Pelle is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Media Science at Corvinus University of Budapest and an Expert on Media Literacy at the National Media and Infocommunications Authority in Hungary. Her research focuses on digital parenting, the theory and practice of media and digital literacy, and formal and informal media education. She has been involved in numerous national and international research projects and expert groups promoting media literacy, including the development of the framework and methodology of Hungary’s first national media literacy competence measurement tool. At the European level, she has been a member of the European Commission’s Media Literacy and Safer Internet for Children Expert Groups, chaired the Media Literacy Action Group of the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA), and led the Media Literacy Workstream of the European Board for Media Services (EBMS), the Commission’s advisory body. Her work is driven by a commitment to fostering a more media-literate and socially responsible digital society.
