Amy Hassett

Amy is a disability advocate and co-founder and co-chairperson of Disabled Women Ireland, Ireland's national Disabled Persons' Organisation advocating for the rights of disabled self-identified women, girls and non-binary people. Alongside her experience in disability advocacy, Amy is also a science communicator, who believes strongly in engaging the public, and particularly marginalised communities, in science research and policy. She has a particular interest in accessible communications, and in giving people the tools to understand and critically assess the information they encounter.
