Phia Damsma is Co-Founder (1999) and Creative Director at Sonokids Australia. Sonokids is the developer of the “Ballyland” suite of accessible educational game software and apps that support the development of essential digital skills by young learners with blindness and low vision. Recent research by Sonokids is informing the current development of a Ballyland app focused on eSafety education. Phia is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Southern Queensland and a Knight in the Order of Oranje Nassau (bestowed by the King of the Netherlands).
